It's OFFICIAL! Yami Gautam-Diljit Dosanjh To Team Up For Ramesh Taurani's Untitled Next
For the first time, Yami Gautam and Diljit Dosanjh will be seen sharing the screen space in Ramesh Taurani's untitled film. Are you excited to see this fresh pair onscreen?
New pairings like Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon, Ajay Devgn-Rakul Preet Singh or even Akshay Kumar- Parineeti Chopra have brought freshness onscreen. And now there's another one that is set to join the bandwagon. Well, it has been confirmed that Yami Gautam and Diljit Dosanjh will be teaming up for an untitled film that will be produced by Ramesh Taurani.
For the first time, Yami and Diljit will be seen together in a comedy which will mark the directorial debut of director Aziz Mirza’s son, Haroon. Confirming the news, Ramesh Taurani told Mumbai Mirror, "Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple."
Taurani also stated that they are even looking for a new face who will play an important role in the film. It is also said that the project is supposed to go on floors in August after the entire cast is locked.
The film is based on one of the last scripts penned by actor-director Neeraj Vora, who passed away in 2017. Vora was the screenwriter for films like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
On the work front, Yami Gautam was last seen in the superhit film URI: The Surgical Strike with Vicky Kaushal. The actress will be next seen in Bala along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. The film is slated to release on November 22, 2019. While Diljit Dosanjh, who was last seen in Soorma, will be seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani in Good News.
